Almond Biscuits with homemade Vinsanto icing. 7.05oz
In 2015, on the occasion of Papa Bergoglio's visit to Prato, Biscottificio decided to pay tribute to the Holy Father by dedicating to him a special Biscuit from Prato, covered with a Vin Santo icing specially made by our pastry chefs, preparated with the prized Antinori Santa Cristina Vin Santo.
Each cookie is covered, left to stand until the icing is very cold, and then manually packed.
The Prato Biscuits - commonly known as cantucci or cantuccini with almonds - are baked every day by our Biscuit Factory since 1958 and are part of the Tuscan confectionery tradition that sees them as a perfect end meal in combination with the Vinsanto.
This particular version of the Biscotto di Prato has remained in production and is still on sale after the Pope's visit in 2015 because it is continuously requested by our Customers.
